The Learning Center of North Arkansas (Formerly The Carroll County Learning Center) was incorporated in 1974 by a group of concerned individuals and business owners in Carroll County who knew the need for quality services for persons with disabilities was needed and after forming the non-profit, began operation in the basement of the local Methodist Church. What began with just a few students and two staff persons has now grown to over 120 employees and services to more than 350 individuals. Most recently in 2015 the Board of Directors approved a name change, The Learning Center of North Arkansas, to reflect the growth of the agency.
